What I Do

Custom Programming

Have an idea for the next killer Web app? I program custom back-end Web applications using ColdFusion and/or Flex and a database (see My Toolkit at right). "Custom" means you have the vision for the application and I make it work. "Back-end" means I provide any functionality under the hood of a Web site powering what people see (I can do the pretty pictures, too — see Design below).


Plug-In Integration & Customization

Don't have the budget to redevelop the wheel? There are lots of bored programmers out there, creating lots of interesting widgets and gizmos for Web sites. I'll help you find one that does what you need and plug it in for you. Or, if it's almost perfect and just needs a tweak here or there, I can handle that, too. (If nothing exists yet, or the tweaking would be too extensive, no sweat! See Custom Programming above.) I can work with WordPress, BlogCFC, MangoBlog, Sava CMS, SiteDirector, Cartweaver, and many other excellent tools.


Interface Scripting

Give those PSD designs legs! I can slice and dice even the most complicated PSD and code it up in XHTML and CSS, cleanly and compliantly. Need that interface to stand up and sing? Let me whip up some AJAX for a way cooler and more interactive user experience.


Web Interface Design

Your brand and image is yours alone. It stands for you and what your customers experience when they do business with you. I'll take your brand and image and create a design that says what you need it to say, reflects your style, and gets results. Are you a new business without an identity or logo? I work with several awesome designers who specialize in logo creation — together we can get that identity nailed down and a fantastic logo created just for you.


Consulting & Project Management

I've been around the block a time or two with this new-fangled Web stuff and I've met many people who are just stuck when it comes to the "right thing to do" with their Web site to grow business or get visitors. I've got the experience and ideas to help out. Each project, big or small, is treated with respect and put through my tried-and-true project management process, based on methods used by some of the best software companies out there.
